NTEK Communications, Inc. was dedicated in producing advanced technology that provide innovative solutions for businesses that would benefit from the Internet of Things revolution in the 2010's. My role as an in-house industrial designer was to produce concept designs for device enclosures that reflected the company's technological expertise, while capturing the interest of specific clients and target market segments.
The company primarily developed devices intended for audio-visual communications. I constantly collaborated with a diverse team of engineers in developing hardware components, as well as software infrastructures and features. We made sure that the products' physical structure worked seamlessly with software functionality and performance. Most importantly on my part, constant communication and alignment with the mechanical engineers is essential for effective design for manufacturing. This ensures that my designs for the device enclosures would not only fit perfectly with all the components, but should also be practical and efficient for mass production.
